OK, so here goes with a very simple test of the entire ModulOSC system. I have Logic Pro playing a 2-octave scale, outputting via Osculator (which is doing a small amount of parameter mapping and scaling) over OSC to the Raspberry Pi which is controlling the V/oct input on the VCO board.
Things to note:
- The VCO tracks fairly well over about 3-4 octaves.
- The WiFi connection to the raspberry pi is inadequate for musical playback. There’s far too much latency and jitter.
- Seems like the concept is sound though, so I’ll keep on refining this 🙂
